Here at Petite Paws Pet Hotel, we are always trying to innovate dog care in a way that improves the lives of our canine guests. All of the dogs in our care are treated to comfortable beds and blankets, treats, one-on-one time, and more. That said, we wanted to see how we could make our dogs even happier during their time with us.
Introducing our NEW Canine Enrichment Program. This program incorporates four key elements that every dog needs:
Canine Enrichment is designed to help your furry family members get the most out of their time with us. This program will help reduce your pet’s stress and anxiety, work on socialization skills with other dogs and humans, helps them maintain a healthy appetite, and will definitely allow them to rest better! No matter if your pet is with us for Daycare or for an Overnight Stay they will definitely benefit from Canine Enrichment.
We use a number of different activities to make sure that every dog’s stay is happy, fun, and low-stress. Whether it be introducing a treat puzzle or a lavender-scented toy, playing calming music in our suite rooms, or being our office buddy, we are making the boarding and daycare experience more enjoyable for each guest.
Adding something new to your dog’s environment can peak curiosity and sometimes increase physical activity. Build a ramp in the backyard, place a mirror in the living room, go play on a playground, go for a hike in the woods.
These products encourage your dog to engage and manipulate them to get a desired results…normally treats. But it also includes plush, rubber, rope and fetch toys, and the regular rotation of these so that your pup continues to engage with them
Interaction with other people and other dogs builds trust and self confidence. Whether you are going to the dog park, to the pet store, in car or to a friend’s house, engagement with new environments, new people and new dogs will help keep your pup well socialized.
An impotant time for a dog is to have scheduled rest time in a kennel environment because it provides a sense of security and down time from a sensory rich enviroment.

We also incorporate basic obedience into our enrichment program. Every week our certified trainer selects a cue that focuses on basic mannerisms. Throughout each day that cue will be taught and reinforced throughout a variety of activities, but always keeping it fun for our guests.
