Boarding or daycare can be a big experience for any dog. There are new sights, sounds, smells, and routines — and even the most confident pups can feel a little unsure at first.

We’ve seen it time and time again — dogs who participate in additional activities during their stay eat better, sleep sounder, and settle more comfortably. These activities provide a healthy outlet for energy and emotion, helping dogs relax, focus, and enjoy their time away from home.
It’s the difference between simply staying somewhere and feeling at home.
There’s no “right” or “wrong” number of activities to schedule — every dog is different! The most important thing is to consider your dog’s natural activity level and energy needs.
Some pups thrive on go-go-go, while others need plenty of downtime to rest and recharge (I will address this in another article). Even the most active dogs benefit from moments of calm throughout the day.
We’ve found that the happiest and most well-balanced guests are those whose days include both activity and relaxation. Typically, two to three additional activities per day is the sweet spot. This allows your dog to enjoy play, enrichment, or pampering time while still getting the rest they need to feel comfortable and happy.

No problem! Just like people, dogs have their own unique preferences — and sometimes it takes a little trial and error to discover what they truly love.
When we introduce a new service, we take the time to offer it in different ways to see how your dog responds. If we notice they aren’t fully engaging or don’t seem to enjoy a particular activity, we’ll reach out and recommend an alternative.
We understand that these services come with an added cost, and we never want you paying for something your pet isn’t enjoying. Our goal is always to find the experiences that make your dog happiest, most comfortable, and most at ease during their stay.

That’s right — even on the weekends!
We schedule staff seven days a week to ensure every guest is engaged, cared for, and truly having their best stay. Whether your pet is boarding for a weekend getaway or an extended vacation, our team is here daily to provide enrichment, playtime, and love.
The only days we pause additional services are when our office is closed for major holidays. On those days, our team still comes in throughout the day to care for all of our guests — feeding, walking, and tending to their needs — but we also believe it’s important for our hardworking staff to spend time enjoying the holidays with their families, too.
Caring for pets is what we love, but balance keeps everyone — people and pups — happy.
Our additional activities come with an extra cost because they’re personalized experiences, guided by dedicated team members. Each session is designed around your dog — their pace, preferences, and comfort.
This one-on-one attention takes time and care, but it’s what allows us to create something truly special: individualized experiences that meet your dog where they are and help them shine.
